problems using wmm with windows xp

Can any help...I cannot get wmm to record more than 22
seconds of video. All my plug ins and ports are ok. I
was told I need a patch for windows xp to fix the problem
cause it has to do with the operating system. Has this
occured to anyone else? I really need a solution quick.

What is the make and model of camera you are using - is it analog or digital
How is it connected to the PC
