MSN CHAT SOUNDS

ok,
I've done many things to try and correct this problem,
but nothign seems to work.

My MSN Chat sounds do not work when I enter chat rooms.
When I go to the sound options and preview the chat
sounds, they work. They do not work when I'm in teh
actual chat room and it's driving me crazy! If there is
a solution to the problem, please do not hesitate to
answer.
I have deleted cookies, MSN Chat software, disk clean-up,
defrag, and restarted my computer. And STILL, no
progress.

What happens when you don't enter chat rooms? You stupid trollop! Does this
