I just downloaded some movies and I want to burn them and
play them on my DVD player, But my DVd player only plays
WMA's. How do I do this does anybody know.
Help! I am new at this stuff.

WMA is audio only. You can't have video in them.

Yes I just found that out. OK so the DVD player I just
bought plays movies that you rent or buy at the store.
What kind of files are them. When I download movies,
what is the best file to convert them to. AVI or DIVX or
should I try to go with Mpeg's.
I really don't know what to do. Could you help me.

What you buy at the store are DVD's. If you have a DVD Burner in your
computer you might be able to burn DVD's to play in the play, but you need
to know if the play support playback of burned DVD's. your player might
play VCD or SVCD's. both are MPEG's. Nero can make both VCD's and SVCD's.
you can't play AVI's or DivX files on a DVD Player.
