I am able to ping to the network, but the mapped drives
are disconnected and i can't see anything on our domain.
I get the following error:
"Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is
already in use. This connection has not been restored."

This means you have another system on your network with the same computer
name. You will either need to fine the other system and rename it to
something else or rename your system. You can see what you systems name is
by going to the control panel and clicking on the system icon. From there
choose the computer name tab and where it says full computer name is the
name of your system.
