Cannot delete file

I have several large illustrator EPS or AI files on my
desktop that I cannot delete. I get an error message that
the file is "being used by another user or program."
However, it is not. I'm the only user and no other
programs are running. I've rebooted my computer and tried
again. Still the same problem. Any suggestions?

no for sure you can try this at your own risk ok go into safe mode delete
the files then delete out of BIN ok then come out of safe mode ok this
should work but if not i am sorry i tried

Hi Linda,

Close all open apps. Open a command prompt (Start/Run/CMD) and navigate to
the directory with the offending file(s). Then open the Task Manager and
click on the Processes tab, select "explorer.exe" under Image Name. Click
"End Process".

In the opened Command Prompt, DEL the offending files (DEL *.mpg, DEL
mus*.avi, DEL test.wmv, etc.) Once done, go back to the task manager and
click on the Applications tab. Click the "New Task..." button. in the
dialog, type explorer.exe and click OK.

Note: Could also opt for: ATTRIB -H -R -S filename before the DEL.

yes i have one do this ok copy the files frist ok just in case you need them
as long as they are not program files you should be ok remember where they
where for you can put them back just in case ok be safe and not sorry later
ok do you no how two go into safe mode if you do go two safe mode then
delete them out completly this should work note ok do not get rid of files
that you might need later always remember where you took them from this will
really help you in the long run ok it might even save your computer ok your
friend Jeff
