Do you mean a boot disk? There is no need, as the CD is bootable and can do
repair installs for you. As well, the System Restore feature of WinXP can
help when your system is mildly messed up.

As already mentioned your Windows XP CD is bootable and will enable you to
use the Recovery Console to complete certain troubleshooting fixes.

It is wise to have one of these at the ready although rarely needed

If your computer can not boot from a CD-Rom drive then you will need to use
a Setup disk set to start the computer with. You can obtain a download which
will create a 6 floppy Setup disk set that corresponds to your version of
Windows XP from here:
