Printering problem in PrintFile in XP

Hello
I'm printing a Word document using File->Print menu option
on XP machine then it prints properly. But if I convert
the word doc into printfile (.PRN) and if tried to print
it using COPY command on DOS propmt it won't get printed.
Can you please help me to solve this problem ?
