Just upgraded from 98 to XP Pro. Enjoyed the capability
of two-sided printing in 98 but cannot find the feature
in XP Pro. Can anyone help?

If this is an HP discontinued printer, HP decided not to write updated
drivers for these printers. Microsoft did include drivers on the XP CD that
enable you to still print, but may not have the full features you were used
to seeing when you used Windows98.

Although I do not own any HP printers, I understand that this duplex
capability can be regained by using www.fineprint.com.

This would be a function of your printer driver, not the operating system.
If you're using an older printer, one no longer supported by its
manufacturer, your only choice is to use the XP-supplied driver. This will
/NOT/ provide you with all the functions of the 98 driver and you'll just
have to survive without. If duplexing is that important to you, suggest you
purchase a newer printer that is supported by the manufacturer.

And, before you ask, no you cannot install the 98 driver under XP, not even
in compatibility mode.
