Since downloading MS updates my compter will no longer
stay in Stand By mode. It automatically turns back on
after 30 seconds or so. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks - Tim

Hi Tim,

Was one of the updates a device driver? You may need to rollback to the
previous version as it may not fully support standby.

Mine was doing that last night - clicked off, then immediately whirred
on. Reinstall your video drivers, then reboot.

If you haven't updated the drivers recently, this might be a good time
to do it.
