A "Hotfixes" is an update from Windows Update. These keep your system
secure and fix know program in the OS. You want these on your system.

These entries are there, so you can remove a particular hotfix, if needed.
The files that were replaced when the Hotfix was installed are kept in the
C:\Windows folder in folders named similar to $NtUninstallKB824105$ (hidden
folders). If you don't need to uinstall any of the hotfixes, you can
remove the backup files and the associated Add/Remove entries by going to
www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Remove Hotfix Backup Files.
