Thanks for your assistance and I will take your
advice, though it was not the answer I was hoping for
apparently it is all I can do to solve the problem.
Too bad I'm forced to purchase a secondary zip program
when there is a perfectly good one included with xp.
Here's hoping I dont get all fouled up trying to re-
register . Again, thanks to all concerned and this will
probably not be the last time you'll hear me asking for
assistance in solving some mundane problem that any kid
would be able to solve on their own.

I have no idea what the rest of this thread was since you posted this as a
new message but there is no reason to spend money on a zip program. There
are many free ones available. I'm partial to Izarc. It handles a ton of
compression formats. A very capable program.

>Hilbilly, It was just some drivel I posted about a
friend not being able to open emails I've sent . Rather
than take a chance on yet another zip program not being
compatable with her winzip I'll just buy winzip and stay
on the safe side. Thanks for your intrest and advice.

If it is any consolation, Longtooth, I bought Winzip many many many years
ago (so long ago it came on a 3.5 disk!) and to this day I am still entitled
to free upgrades. It was very cheap and given the continual upgrades, one of
the absolute all time best software purchases I ever made. I continually tip
my hats to them. I also understand that you can use their evaluation copy
for free--not sure of the limitations on it but you might want to check that
out.
