Open Folder Options> View. Uncheck the "Remember settings for each folder"
option. Close this window.
Open Windows Explorer. Set a folder up the way that you want most of your
folders to display. Click on Tools> Folder Options> View. Click "Apply to
All Folders" button.
If you have a few other folders that you prefer to view differently, check
the box to "remember settings for each folder" again. Adjust the settings
for these folders the next time you open them using the View menu.

I have tried it , but it works only in windows explorer. When in internet
explorer ( browser internet) i make a right mouse click , and in context
menu i select " save image as" , the mini-window that appear don't have the
setup i have selected , but always fixed preview image and i must select
details manually.
Often uneasy , when you have many images in folder.
Thanks to any suggestion

XP's default for the Save/Save As dialog boxes is list view. If you are
getting previews of the images in these windows, you probably have a viewer
turned on in one of your installed programs. For example, Adobe has a
viewer that adds itself to the common dialog boxes. It can be turned off in
the Preferences menu of the Adobe program.

Yes , this is a good suggestion, however i don't understand where is the
parameter , i have tried with Adobe and other prog but nothing.
Does exist a setup to insert directly in windows registry to bypass quickly
each further research and attempt ?
Thank Sharon

You're welcome, Sioux. However I don't know what else to suggest. If I'm
understanding what you are describing properly, the setting is not a
Windows setting. It is a shell extension that one of your installed
programs have added to XP. Perhaps the help files of your graphics programs
will mention where the settings are? Or if you are using Adobe, perhaps
visit one of their user groups?
I'm sorry that I have no more suggestions at this time.
