I have 2 computers.
Computer "A" has Windows XP home edition.
Computer "B" has windows XP Pro.

I would like to put the XP pro version on "A" as it is a
better computer and I think I need it to run IIS, but can
I then put the XP home version from computer "A" on
computer "B"? I have the CD's for both versions.

Will I run into registration/installation issues?

Are these retail versions of Windows, or OEM versions? If they
are retail versions, no problem. But if they are OEM versions
(for example, if they came with the computers), doing so is a
violation of the licensing agreement. The OEM licensing agreement
permanently ties Windows to the first computer it's installed on;
it may never be moved to another.

Greetings --

Assuming retail licenses (OEM licenses are not transferable), simply
remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install it onto
the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last activated
that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to activate via
the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you might have to
make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:
