Can anyone tell me what=B4s going on here. This is a=20
brandnew machine. Have run 2 totally updated anti-virus=20
programs everyday, coming up with nothing. The program=20
part of my start menu keeps disappearing or the folders=20
just show up as empty when hightlighted. I haven=B4t=20
changed any settings yet. I have even re-formatted my=20
whole harddisc twice and it keeps happening. I assume,=20
since I have been able to download all the fixes and=20
patches from microsoft, my windows xp must be activated=20
by now.
Any ideas? I=B4d appreciate it.

If this is a brand new machine and it's having this much trouble, you need
to be talking to the manufacturer or their tech support.

PS: In addition to the recovery program for XP, were there discs for the
applications that were included with the system? Besides running the
Windows recovery, you may need to run setup for those extra discs to get
back all programs that came with the computer.
