When I booted up my comp. this morning and logged into my
User, I noticed that there was something different about
my taskbar:

-There were 4 separaters/dividers (I don't know what you
call them. They're those two little vertical rows of
dots that appear between the different toolbars.) and
only one of them had anything in them. So, I closed the
others.

Here's where I ran into the problem.

Problem: When I opened/minmized Internet Explorer (and
every other application after that), no taskbar button
appeared for it. I noticed that when I minimized IE, it
just zoomed down to the taskbar and dissapeared. Now I'm
stuck with a taskbar that doesn't show any of the
programs (besides WMP) that I have open. I already know
about the locking/unlocking option of the taskbar.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?

See www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, Line 240, Left column, Programs
aren't minimized to the Taskbar. This small VB Script utility will correct
this issue for you.
