The answer to everyone's problem is not ..."there are
three ways to delete and reinstall...." blah blah blah..
People here would like a little better shot at it. Like
check you BIOS version, check your USB connections,
something other than delete and reinstall the latest
print drivers...

Sounds like you're having a dig at Cari (who happens to be a friend of
mine). What's the BIOS got to do with printing (especially USB printing)?
If the printer isn't giving a communication error then the connections are
fine. 90% of the time, printing issues can be solved by properly removing
the old and downloading and installing a new driver.
Now, you tell me why she's an MVP and you're not...Hmmm...I wonder...

Unfortunately most of the time it's the correct solution. BIOS settings
have nothing to do with USB printers (unless you have disabled the USB ports
in the BIOS!)
USB connections are usually working just fine..... although they may be set
to turn off after a while - check power management settings. This would
manifest itself in the printer being available at reboot and then not after
a certain period of time.... which is not usually the problem that folks are
having.
I've never had a USB cable fail, nor a parallel cable. If the PC 'sees' the
printer, the chances of the cable having failed, are virtually nil!
Now, do you have a problem with your printer.. or are you just taking the
opportunity of seeing yourself in print?
