no sound

Since loading XP Pro I am not getting sound with emails,
or any web sites e.g. games, multi media etc.

If you are getting some sounds but not all, check Control Panel> Sounds and
Audio Devices> Sounds> Events. Select and test a sound file for each event.
Click OK on your way out of these screens.
