Just installed XP and I can't scroll with the touch pad
scroll toggle button or did my fat finger hit something?
Thanks,
Toby

Hi Toby,

Check with the laptop maker for the appropriate WinXP compatible driver,
this is why retail versions of Operating Systems often should not be
installed on laptops - they require proprietary drivers to support the
installed hardware. Usually this is only available from the manufacturer.

Laptops vary. Some incorporate touchpad settings into the Mouse control
panel. Others provide a separate control panel for touchpad settings. You
may need to track down software for the touchpad.

Example: When I installed XP on an old Compaq laptop (originally had
Win98), the older version of Synaptic software would not work. Came up
empty handed at the Compaq site but was able to find what I needed at the
Synaptic website.
