Back in March i posted a message asking for help on how
to send and receive faxes from your pc, without having
any special software.
I have Win XPhomeuser with Word 2000.
One kind person took the trouble to reply to me with the
solution however my computer then died and i lost all my
recent emails because PC World couldn't recover them.
well i've finally plucked up the courage to ask again.

When i try to send a word doc as a fax it asks for my fax
number and i don't have one (as far as i know)

I'm on Blueyonder broadband not dial up

Your help will be very much appreciated.
Charlie

They are asking for the number to which you are sending the fax.
Your fax number is the number associated with the jack in which you
plug the fax/modem. The fax/modem will work with any analog
telephone line on which a regular telephone will work.

You can search for old newsgroup messages through Google. Go to
http://www.google.com/grphp and select Advanced Groups Search where
you can search using various criteria including subject, author,
newsgroup or keyword.
