There are several possible reasons for the printer not
responding:

1) There is no power to the printer. You should check
that the printer has power and is turned on; most
printers have a LED (i.e a little glowing light for when
it is on).
2) The printer is has power and is on. However, it is
common for printers to have an online/offline button.
When the printer is offline, then it will not print.
Check the printer's user manual to see if this is the
issue.
3) The connection between the printer and the computer is
loose or disconnected. You should check that the printer
is still plugged in to the computer. My cat has a
tendency to unplug my printer when playing with the
cables behind my desk.
4) Check that you are printing to the right printer.
Some times when moving USB connections from one port to
another, the printer will be detected again as a 'new'
installation. This may cause there to be more than one
printer icon with only one of them actually being able to
print.

Hope that this helps.

You should check out the printer's user manual for
trouble shooting problems.

Sorry I did not note you had the printer working at one time. Since that is
the case, Tony's ideas are appropriate. Check in printer dialog box
(preferences?) to see if you have 2 installs of printers; then, check one or
the other until you find the correct install. Epson and Microsoft should
both be ashamed of them selves for buggy products.

Sincerely - Randy O.
