I have 2 systems (XP Pro) networked via a router with a canon 5000 on LPT1
(using w2k driver) on one system as a shared resource (printer works from
both systems)
I want to print from a dos window I've tried
copy /a readme.txt lpt1 ~ no result
copy /a readme.txt \\server\printer ~ will see the printer icon show up and
then go away, in the status window you will see a document show up and the
status says spooling but nothing prints
also tried net use lpt2: \\server\printer ~ then copy /a readme.txt lpt2
same results as above
am I SOL?
