opening in same window.

It started a few days ago, All programs open in the same window, instead of
each in his own. It`s so annoying. I saw the problem discussed in this
newsgroup a couple a weeks ago , but can`t seem to find it back.

OS Windows XP with latest patches installed. OE 6......

Control panel \ internet options \ advanced tab
Uncheck "reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
Apply and okay your way out.

Or if you mean generally rather than in IE:
Control panel \ folder options \ general tab
Open each folder in its own window
