Access denied ,drive C :

I am using XP pro and Norton Systemwork.

This has been working fine but recently whenever I switch on the PC I get a
small window on the desktop saying

Norton Protection : ATTENTION
Access denied ,drive C :

I can still access my C drive.

Any ideas what may be wrong ?

Since that error message is coming from SystemWorks, I would check with that
manufacturer (Symantec) first. It sounds like one of their utilities cannot
get acces to your drive.

If this only started happening recently (i.e. SystemWorks has worked fine up
until recently), you may want to try using System Restore:
