Hello I've recently downloaded an assorted variety of
Hotfixes for Windows XP Pro...Now in my Add or Remove
Programs window I have about 25 different installed
Hotfixes...Question is there any way to consolidate these
entries into a more concise organization...It makes it
extreemely difficult to have to scroll through all of
these to find the other installed programs.
Thanks for your help...

Hi Kyle,
No, you are stuck with them "as is". However, you can remove them if you
have no intention of uninstalling any of the updates. Just follow these
steps:
Set the Folder Options/View tab (in the Control Panel) to see hidden and
system folders.
Open Windows Explorer to the %Windir% folder (usually C:\Windows).
Locate the $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ folders (these are compressed and are
usually blue) and delete them. These contain the information necessary to
uninstall each hotfix. It is only necessary to keep them if you want to
retain the option to uninstall a hotfix.
When finished, go to Add & Remove, select a hotfix for removal. You will get
an error message followed by a prompt to remove it from the listings.
MVP Doug Knox also has written a utility to automate this process if you are
interested, see:

These entries are there in case you need to remove the hotfix. Any files
that were replaced were backed up and stored in the Windows folder, in
subfolders with names like:
$NtUninstallKB824105$
If your system is stable, and you don't need to remove any of the Hotfixes,
you can remove the backup files and the associated Add/Remove entries by
going to www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Remove Hotfix Backup Files.
Unfortunately, Add/Remove programs doesn't support a hierarchal structure,
so you can't put things that are related in folders.

Pardon me if I misunderstand you, but thiere is a 'drop-down' menu at top
right ('Sort by:') that says on my machine 'Name' and all the Hotfixes are
gathered at the bottom except for ZA which is at the very bottom (i.e progs
are sorted in allphabetical order).
Thus in the drop-down menu at top-right ('Sort by:') select 'Name' ,.
