Is it safe to put Win. XP recovery cd in my comp. to get fax

XP home edition was already installed in my computer when
I bought it but there isn't any fax, when I go to
add/remove program it tells me to put XP home edition cd
in, but the only cd that I have that came with the
computer that has anything to do with windows xp home
edition, says "windows xp home edition recovery cd". Is it
safe to put this in my computer to see if I can find the
fax on it?

The System Recovery CD is designed only to restore your PC to the point it
was in when it left the manufacturers.

Point the Installer of the Fax Services to the i386 folder inside the
Windows folder. It should find the files it wants/needs there.

Thanks for your help Cari,
But I can't find the Installer for a Fax Services, it's
not in the add/remove program. Is it possible home edition
don't have one? Any help is appreciated, thanks, Spike
