Hello,
I'd like to remap some of the characters on my keyboard.
I figured out you can "move" entire keys around -- as in exchanging
the 5 and t keys with all assorted meta-meanings (like the "%"
character and the upper-case "T") -- but that's not what I want to
do.
Nor do I want to define "hotkeys" to start apps or anything like
that.
What I want to do is "move" only specific _characters_, more
specifically the slashes and curly braces, to other, more easily
accessible locations on the keyboard.
The "{"/"}" characters, for example, are assigned to AltGr + 7/0 on
the German keyboard layout I use. Let's say I'd rather procure them
by pressing AltGr + ö/ä. Needless to say, I do _not_ want to move the
7 and 0 _keys_ to where the ö and ä _keys_ are (not on a software and
certainly not on a hardware level). Just these individual characters.
Now there're umpteen keyboard layouts available so I suspect it must
be possible to do this. Unfortunately, I don't speak .DLL fluently...
Any ideas?
