View Full Version : Fax success rate!

I tried your suggestion and bumped up the value for that
field from 60 to 120 seconds and tried it, but it did not
seem to make much difference. Out of 15 faxes tried, 3
completed, 1 was busy, and 11 came back no answer. So it
is still only a 20% success rate and not acceptable.

Thanks for any more suggestions that can help alleviate
this situation.

>Maybe your modem is timing out very fast? Try this - go
to
>Start->Control Panel->Phone and Modem options. Select
the
>Modems tab and click on the Properties button. Click on
>the Advanced tab and then click on the "Change Default
>Preferences" button. Try changing the timeout in
>the "Cancel the call if not connected within _____ secs"
>field to a higher value.
