Printer INF - Dependent Files List

Hi,

Is there a limit to the number of dependent files that
can be added in a printer INF file? I am specifically
interested in INF files applicable to Win 2K and beyond
(XP, Server 2003, ....)

None that I am aware of. Why ?

Recently I tried a driver with 128 files, and it worked as expected. Be
prepared for point-and-print connections to take longer.

We did not find any documentation in DDK on limits. So it
is good to know that it works with large number of files.

We were looking for solutions for MUI Help problem in
2K/XP. Most IHVs use .HLP files for providing help (F1,
context sensitive etc). .HLP files cannot have multiple
language definitions in them. Hence we have separate .HLP
files per locale. So whenever a Point-n-Print connect is
done or in a local machine, when the user switches
locale, the .HLP file still remains as the locale
specific one that was put at install time. Due to this we
are not able to have full-fledged MUI Help functionality.
