After talking to HP I find it very disturbing that both
Microsoft and HP do not support the VERY EXPENSIVE HP
2500c wide format printer.
For some reason Microsoft did develop a driver for this
and put it in XP (which left HP off the hook for
development) but it is just a partial driver and if you
cannot even do "custom size" paper on it then why even
develop it. I found this out the hard way but updating a
graphics department to XP and then finding out the driver
is "POOR".
HP says that the printer was discontinued just before XP
came out so they are not going to develop drivers, even
though the printer is still being sold as new through
vendors.
SO IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYONE AND EVERY COMPANY WHO HAS THESE
PRINTERS HAS TO DUMP THEM OR LIVE WITH A CRIPPLED DRIVER?

Kirk ... have you tried the Win2000 drivers for this printer? They are =
shown at the following HP website: http://tinyurl.com/9ljd
It's listed as a 'lite' version so they might not have the features =
you're looking for, but might be worth a try. btw ... these printer =
drivers were put out in 2000, so the printer is pretty old as far as =
these things go ... and, if it was sold to you as a 'new' printer, I =
would think twice before buying from this vendor again.
HTH ... Fred

Let's see...you "updated a graphics department to XP..."
without checking hardware compatibility first, then when
the almost-inevitable happened, you whine like a little
girl and blame MS and HP. Beautiful.
