This is the weirdest printer problem I have run into and don't know
where to go from there. I just browsed through over 1,000 messages
trying to find the answer, checked with few links but none is close to
me problem.

First, I have the PhotoSmart 7350 for few months, it worked fine on my
old Win98 system until I upgraded to faster system (AMD XP 2400 with 1M
memory) and when the problem started.

The story goes like this. Last night I installed it for the first
time and it worked great after few tries (got error it can't create some
Icon or Folder or something, it was too quick too read), and I did print
few photos. This morning, I found out that the system will REBOOT (like
hitting RESET button) everytime I turn off the printer.

I decided to uninstalled the driver and reinstalled again, after many
tries without luck (I tried both version from CD and from HP site, even
both are same version). Sometime it can't detect the printer (USB port
only) sometime it detected and installed the driver *but* the system got
reboot everytime it reads/loads the driver. I had to boot from Safe
Mode to uninstall or remove the driver in order to boot to normal (or it
keeps resetting the system and resetting the system, it can go on and on
forever).

First, I can boot to normal after having the driver uninstalled, now I
have to *unplug* the USB, or the system would reboot *if* I connect the
printer to USB port (HUB). IOW, now I can't even be able to have the
printer connected to "ADD New Printer" or using "Auto Update" like few
prople suggest. I followed the LINK to MicroSoft page with something
about new Firmware/Driver for PhotoSmart 7350 and it sent me to the
UPDATE site *but* I can't connect the printer to system for the Auto
Update to work.

Any idea what to go from here?

TIA
