Hi, when I click ctr alt delete I get a message saying
taskmanager has been disabled by the administrator
(me) How do I enable it? Also, when I want to restart
the computer it's no longer on the start menu, the only
option is to log off, and that takes me to restart,
shutdown, logoff Thanks for any suggestons you can give
in advance!

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System

Look in the right pane for a value called DisableTaskMgr If it exists, it
should be set to 0 (zero). If not, double click it and change it. If it
doesn't exist, right click in a blank area of the right pane and select New,
DWord value and name it DisableTaskMgr. Leave it at 0.

For the Shutdown Option missing, go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explore
r

Look in the right pane for a value called NoClose. Follow the directions
above.
