When clicking "Print" from OE, Word, Note Pad, or IE, the
printer does not respond. Running Windows XP on a Dell
8100.
I have switched printers. Lexmark X73 replaced by old HP
DeskJet 520 which is still working fine on my old computer
(running Windows 95); checked, double checked and switched
cables. Neither printer will print on my new Dell 8100.
Deleted and re-installed drivers (Lexmark downloaded from
Lexmark and HP installed from Windows XP). Test page will
not print after re-installation of either driver. Test
page will print for HP DeskJet when the "Self Test" button
on the printer is pressed.
When the computer is booting up, lights on the HP DeskJet
flash and drive gears turn as normal when starting up from
my old computer.
