Don't know how it happened. How can I get it back or a the
least empty it. Running over. HELP HELP

Try this... Right-click Desktop and select Properties. In resulting dialog
box, go to Desktop tab>Customize Desktop bar in lower-left. In next box,
scroll right to the Bin icons, highlight one, and select "Restore default"
bar in lower right. OK your way out.

Right click the desktop. Select Arrange Icons and place a check next to
"Show Desktop Icons."
