We have just rolled out 20 new machines on our network with XP Pro. We have
spent weeks getting the correct settings and policies set up for these
machines as we will be upgrading a further 100 machines in the summer. Our
problem is installing print drivers across the network. We are also new to
Win 2000 server as we have always used NT 4.0.

Some of our newer printers (Brother Laser) have installed fine as the have
built in drivers in Xp, but some of our older HP printers do not. We have
searched for information and seem to get conflicting feedback.

We are inclined to think that the XP Printer drivers need to be installed
on the server so they can be picked up by the PC's but we are at a loss.

Could anyone point us in the right direction as to what needs to be done and
a simple way for us to do it.

XP should happily use the Windows2000 drivers.
