Chuck, James - the fax component of XP is not
automatically installed. Go to add/remove programs in
Control Panel and then to add/remove windows components.
Check the Fax Services box. You'll need your XP
installation disk or the location of the install files on
your hard disk. XP fax seems to me to be a basic but
reliable (and free) part of XP. I had problems with a
Win Modem, but a real one now works fine. Martin
