....connected to a WinME desktop.

I can't figure out what settings to access and enter.

Or it may just not be possible to print share from XP to
ME?

Can the XP PC see the files and folders on the WinME desktop PC?

If so, on the WinME desktop, get to the Control Panel and click on Printers
& Faxes. Right click on the printer in question and select Properties.
Select the Sharing tab. Ensure the shared name of the printer is no longer
than 12 characters/number with NO SPACES and that the printer is set to be
shared.

Go back to the XP PC. Go to the printer manufacturer's website and download
the XP drivers for the printer. Most are exe files that you click to expand
the files to a temporary folder - just remember where it or you are putting
them.

Go to the Control Panel, Printers & Faxes. Click to launch the Add Printer
Wizard. Tell it that you want to add a network printer and you should be
able to browse to the WinME PC and 'find' the printer. When XP asks for the
destination of the drivers point it to the folder in which the files were
expanded when you clicked the exe file you downloaded from the printer
manufacturer's wsebsite.
