If you reformatted your drive and reinstalled XP then the
virus will have been removed. Of course, without adequate
anti virus protection, you could just as easily have been
reinfected. It could also be a problem with your comcast
modem, in which case you need to speak to comcast
technical support. Is it possible to disconnect the cable
modem? If so does your pc continue to reboot?
When you finally get things sorted i suggest you go to
www.grisoft.com and download their free anti virus
software. You just give them a few details, email
address, name etc and they will email you a product code
number. When you get the product code, install AVG anti
virus and you will be protected. Just remember to
regularly update the virus definitions via the update
scheduler. It is also important that you download the
microsoft patch and install it.
