once you break the path to the site you lose the icon.
----------------------
visit site
add to favorites (links)
go to tools-internet options
temporary intenet files [settings] button
[view files] button
find the icon in listing
[-] favicon.ico
copy this
cancel out all
--------------------
go to c:\windows\system32 directory
create new folder
rename folder (ex: 1_icons)
paste favicon.ico
rename icon (ex. newname.ico)
---------------
go to your favorites links directory
pick desired link
right pick to properties
[change icon] button
[browse] button
find your new named icon
ok exit out all
---------------------
done
whew.....!!!!!
this can be shorten by creating new links to the windows
directories.
be creative.....
