I cannot view the folders in the folder pane in Windows
explorer, I have tried setting explorer to show common
tasks, but I still can't preview the file. This is very
helpful when looking through pictures. Any help?

Please respond via email, there are way too many post
here to go through each one of the pages.

TIA
Darryl

In the left hand column, Windows Explorer can show the tree view of folders
- or - the common tasks. Use the Folders button in the Standard toolbar to
toggle between the two. If there is no Folders button on the toolbar, right
click and choose Customize to add one.

With the common task pane displayed, click on a graphics file. The preview
for the image will display at the very bottom of the task pane under the
word: Details. If the image is not visible click on the chevron button to
the right of the "Details."

Another way to preview images - but on the right hand side of Explorer - is
to select View> Thumbnails
