can not install printer driver

when i try to install my printer microsoft will cancel the
installation just before it has completed and i can not
get my printer connected. i have been trying to get this
fixed for a couple of months. please help....

Can you please give more detail?
Do you get any messages?
Can you have a look at event viewer log (from start menu run cmd, type
%windir%\system32\eventvwr.exe, then select System logs) and see if there is
any warning or error messages there.
What kind of machine are you using? What OS are you using - 95, NT, XP?
