I just formated an old 5GB HDD and installed a full
version of WIN XP Home Edition.

However, I just purchased an 80 GB HDD and thought it
best to load WIN XP on the new HDD given the
faster/higher performance (7200 RPM).

First - Can I simply exchange HDDs and reinstall WIN XP
on the new HDD? I registered the software during the
inital installation.

Second - If I want to also utilize the 5GB HDD, do I need
to uninstall WIN XP from it ... or simply format it?

Thanx much ...

Lou

No problem with the re-activation of XP, I've done it 3 times on 3 different
sized drives. Install the old 5gb as the slave, you don't have to remove
XP. You can format it with Disk Management in XP.
