View Full Version : writing to a cd with xp

upset

After doing a simple drag & drop from a directory within
My Stupid Documents (who else would they belong to? The
RIAA?) to my re-writable CD, the files just sit in a
ready to write status. They never write, show no option
to begin writing, show no reason why they don't write.
They just sit there stagnant and never write. Eventually
I get ****ed & remove the re-writable cd from the drive.
At which point stupid ****in Windows sends an error
message, I can re-insert the CD & get an option to go
ahead & finally write the file(s). Stupid piece of stupid
****in ****! Why do you put so much helpful crap in the
way that we can't use our computers?

You would get more help if you tried to calm down and act rational.
No one wants to hear your foul language.
The people here are NOT Microsoft, just a group of people who try to help
when
others have a problem.
As for me, I am adding you to my kill file as I have no time to waste on
someone who clearly does not want help, but only wants to act like a child
and throw a temper tantrum.

Once you have dragged and dropped the files you want to burn.
Right click on the drive letter, either in explorer or My Computer and
select the option "Write these files to CD"

No, you moron, you have to click the 'write these files to a CD' link first.
I have a suggestion for you - which will solve your problem. Find the
original packaging for your computer, unplug everything and box it back up
then have someone drive you to the shop you bought it from and tell them you
want a refund. When they ask why tell them you're too stupid to own a
computer.

I agree with the other poster who plonked you - I'm doing the same. PLONKer!
