When I click on My Documents, I get the following error
messages:
1. Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files.
Check your connection to the network, or CD-ROM drives.
2. The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or
other removable disk that is not available. Insert the
Microsoft Word 2002 disk and click OK. (I do not have a
Microsoft Word 2002 disk and never had one).
3. The path 'Microsoft Works Suite 2003 disc 1 degree
cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this
location and try again, or try to find the installation
package WORD.MSI' in a folder from which you can install
the product Microsoft Word 2002.
NOTE: This problem has just started tonight--never
before! I am totally confused, frustrated and worn out
trying to find a solution for this problem! I NEED
PROFESSIONAL HELP!!!

Word is doing something that requires files from the install CD disk.
Word can be installed so that some components can be installed later, on
demand, when needed, e.g. file filters. It wants one of those
components now. It's looking on the resources wher it thinks the
install CD for Word will be.
THe fix is to do as Word expects...feed the install package CD into
place. However, you say that you never had it. So that means that the
install programs were provided on the hard disk by your computer vendor?
Somewhere you *should* have the the installation media for Word.
Suggest you review the documentation that came with your computer to
figure out how Word was installed. Word is delivered as part of some
versoins of Works ... might be there.

You sure do - please look under Therapists or Psychologists in your local
Yellow Pages <j/k>. Anyway you're asking in the wrong group - are you having
a problem with Office or Works? Neither are part of the Windows OS - indeed,
they never have been. Please repost in the most appropriate group (either
microsoft.public.office.misc or microsoft.public.works.win).
