Cannot Install or Uninstall

Hi,

I am having trouble installing and uninstalling programs.
Windows Installer gets to the Initializing window. No
matter if I'm trying to install or uninstall a program,the
initializing indicator only gets to 75% and hangs. No
error messages.

You may have to run a repair of the windows operating system to get the
windows installer working correctly again. However, this will remove any
updates you have done and may remove some device drivers as well, so be sure
to have the drivers backed up, if you decide to do this.
