printer wont connect

Just bought a hp photosmart 7550 printer. Have spent a
total of 8 hours tring to install. Contacted HP tech and
went over everything with him. Printer goes through
installation and then it says it cannot locate the
printer. Is there anything in xp which might be causing
this error?

Are your USB ports working correctly with other USB devices? Have you tried
a second USB cable?
