My Windows Media Player

My player plays the music in wrong speed. I have remowd a
plyer and have loaded in a new but my problems is the
same. Even if I take one of my own CD it plays to slow.
If I take films it is the same...too slow.
I have lookt at the speed and it says "normal"
Can anyone help?
