I just successfully installed a Linksys router so I can
use my laptop wirelessly at home. Works great. But, now
I need to use the printer that is attached to my desktop
PC. The add printer wizard doesn't work. The printer
named on the PC does not show up when I try to add it. I
have shared printing enabled on my PC. Both are running
XP Pro. Ideas?

The first thing to do is ensure your network is correctly configured, which
it sounds like it is not.

The notebook PC MUST be able to 'see' the desktop PC.

Not only must the two PCs be members of the same Workgroup, but something
MUST be shared on each PC....

See Steve Winograd's article at
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/filesharing.htm

The XP built in firewall on each PC must be turned OFF. The firewall is NOT
designed for a LAN, but for use on standalone PCs.

For a great wireless specific article, see Ron Pacchiano's article at:

Have you actually designated the prnter to be shared? Go to your printers
folder in control panel. Right click on the printer icon and click
'sharing'. select "Shared As" and type in a share name for your printer. OK
your way out of the dialogs, and close control panel.

Once the printer has a share name it should show up when you try to add it
through the Add Printer wizard.
