i'm having trouble with trying to open program files.
Seems that when i click on an icon there dont appear to
be any response at all, but i can still move the mouse
around. Then i continue to click on other program icons
with same response. Thirty minutes elapse before all of
these program files appear can anyone assist please.

Start by making sure you antivirus software is up to date and run a virus
scan.

Assuming your system is free of viruses, the sysmptoms indicate the system
is busy. Since it always happens, something is hanging the system. When
this happens, hit ctrl-alt-delete, look for something in the task list that
keeps jumping to a higher number under CPU usage. Note: System Idle Process
will always be a high number, this is not the issue.

Whatever you find in the list that is doing this is likely the problem
application. Try removing the application using Add/Remove Programs in
control panel and see if the problem goes away.
