user name

I have just installed WindowsXP Home. A few days after installing XP I
noticed that some of my programs were automatically assuming that my name is
"WindowsXP User". I went into Start/Control Panel/User Accounts and changed
my name to... well, my name--"John". I've noticed that the files are still
using the name "WindowsXP User". Is there a way that I can universally
change the name on the files and file structure from "WindowsXP User" to
John?

I am the only user on this computer and I am the administrator for this
computer.
