Stick a new floppy in the drive, open windows explorer,
not IE, then right click on the A: drive and select
"Format" to make an MS DOS start-up disc (check-
box). Then label it.
Other method, no floppy required, restart the computer
and as soon as you here the beep, tap the DEL > delete
key that is below the Insert key. Tap every 2 seconds or
so and you will go into your bios screen then find the
boot device settings, in the order they are in you can
change them so the first boot device is CDROM. In
which when you start the computer it will read CDROM
first for the windows XP disc and have setup options and
installation from there.
For other start-up options you can use the F8 key when
you hear the computer speaker "beep", tap every two
seconds until you see the options screen show-up.
If you don't have a computer case speaker that is hooked
up to the motherboard, wait until you see the first DOS-
like boot screen to hit the key.
